Awesome console (2009-07-01)
I enjoyed my PS2 for years, and I recently upgraded. I was playing the Wii for a while, and it is unfortunately collecting dust in favor of the graphics and online capabilities of the PS3. Though I'm disappointed the rumored price drop did not occur before I made the purchase, I am still pleased with this product and recommend it to gamers and Blu-Ray movie watchers alike.
GREAT DEVICE (2009-06-29)
This system embodies the name "PLAYSTATION" that is exactly what it is, a entire entertainment system. Touted as being one of the BEST blueray players on the market, its an excellent gaming system, and with my HDD upgrade to 320GB its my movie hub, my music collection and picture viewer with complete slideshow and music... Playstation network is great and Online is FREE and easy most of all FREE... the games look great, and the Playstation exclusives are mind blowing. I have had my system for almost a month and I love it.
Go and Buy, that's all (2009-06-26)
Great. Amazing graphics, game, system and everything. I also had a wii but i dont like it anymore, it's just too boring after a couple of months. Buy it if you want to upgrade to a great-looking system without caring of the RROD.
I like Playstation ! (2009-06-25)
The blue ray is exceptional. I am old, maybe that is the reason I find the controls tough.
Congrats Sony, I no longer care about video games thanks to you (2009-06-25)
I have to say its something of a relief, after buying PS3 (the Metal Gear Solid 4 bundle) and checking out the games GTA4 and Fallout 3 on top of a ton of rentals I grew completely bored of the thing and sold it on Ebay for a good chunk of change.
The games looked and played great, I think PS3 is a fine system its just none of these games are worth playing after a few hours. It gets old really quick and I find myself wanting to play something extremely retro like Mortal Kombat II or a side scroller. In a way I am glad, I have just dropped an expensive hobby and replaced it with bicycling and photography. Do yourself a favor and don't bother buying a gaming system, go to a friends house and play theirs. You won't want one that bad after a few turns if you have any sense. Most of these games are just FPShooters where you are just aiming the center of the screen on a graphic and hitting a button. Its really mindless, the flashiest graphics in the world can't change this fact. I'd rather go back to PS2 honestly, MGS3 was probably the last truly great video game.
